Welcome

Welcome to RE STACK. In this guide you will find some technical guidance on how to use the platform as well as some tutorials so that you can get the most out of the platform.

In the below sections we will walk through the different options and ways to create layouts in RE STACK. This is organized by potential workflow; Getting explaining the space and how to create your objects, Generating Layouts, and finally exporting your layouts.

Getting Started

In this section we will explore how the space is organized and how to get equipment and boundaries setup.

Workspace

The workspace in RE STACK is broken into 4 main sections; 1. Design groups, 2. Editing Bar, 3. Scene Setting and 4. Imports/Exports and Quantities. Below we will walk though each of those sections. Additional detail on what each one does will be provided in the creating layouts section/

Design Groups

The design groups is where you are going to setup and control the layouts. It is broken into a few different sections; Project, Blocks, Roads, MV Points, and Zones. Each of these sections can be expanded and then edited to control how the layout is generated inside the boundaries that you have imported.

Project: Setup the number of primary blocks (any more than this will be grayed out on the layout) and pick your units.

Blocks: This is where you will create your standard BESS blocks, configuring the grouping methodology, and set clearances between your containers, and PCS.

Roads: This is where you will set the road geometry and location. Use the Auto option to run an optimization for road angles and shifts to maximize your land utilization. You can also control the offsets from property boundaries here.

MV Points: In this section you will define where the MV runs are routed to. In this section you will also control how many blocks (PCS) are grouped into one circuit. To create a new MV point click on the plus sign.

Zones: Zones will allow you to create areas that are excluded from the layout. In this area you can also control if the zone is inner (roads through the area) or outer (roads outside the area). The use road grid will align the boundary to the road grid angle and the pivot controls where the pivot location is. When you click on a boundary a small circle with a 4 white points will appear that becomes the rotation point. To add additional zones click the plus at the top.
